Twickenham Treat for Students
On Saturday 26 May, Lucy Bourne (9CHA) and Toby Goodwin (9AHA) travelled to Twickenham with their parents and guardians, along with Mr Pearce, Mrs Elliot and Miss Harris, for the Aviva Premiership Final which matched up Leicester Tigers and London Harlequins.
Lucy and Toby had the unique experience of training on the Twickenham pitch before the game with other ESPN masterclass representatives. They met former England World Cup winners Austin Healey and Ben Kay and even had their picture taken with the Aviva Premiership Trophy.
The day included going into the ESPN camera trucks and being on live TV in the studio with the pundits before the game! The match ended up being one to remember as the London Harlequins ran out 30-23 winners.
This opportunity followed on from the very successful ESPN Masterclass run in collaboration with the Exeter Chiefs Community Programme at Clyst Vale in April, involving over 160 boys and girls.
It was a truly magnificent day where both Lucy and Toby were outstanding representatives of the College.
