Trevor Green
The funeral of former Clyst Vale Principal Trevor Green took place in his home town of Crewe earlier this week. Parents who were former Clyst Vale pupils in the 1980s and 1990s will remember Trevor well, as he was a distinctive character! Similarly, there are around twenty colleagues at Clyst Vale who worked with Trevor. Trevor served Clyst Vale from 1982 to 2000; he was Principal from 1989 to 2000, with two periods as Acting Principal in 1982-3 and 1985-7. He will be remembered for many things: his motor bike; his interest in football (Crewe Alexandra); railways; the collection of photos and artefacts in his office; a passion for politics, which he both taught at A-level and for which he was a senior examiner for much of his career. He was also passionate about education, and corresponded frequently with the-then Department for Education and Science throughout the 1990s about the worst excesses of Government policy. Trevor was married twice, and leaves five children.
