Musical Premiere for Clyst Vale!!!

An exhilarating production of a new musical comedy is heading to The Barnfield Theatre, Exeter in March. The production of ‘The Addams Family,’ presented by Clyst Vale Community College will be the very first performance in the South West and the second in the country. No school in the UK will ever have performed this show before Clyst Vale. ‘The Addams Family’ is a quirky and hysterically funny musical comedy which first hit Broadway in 2010 before embarking on a US tour. The show has yet to play the West End and Exeter audiences will be amongst the first to see it. ‘The Addams Family’ features an original story involving the well-known characters of Morticia, Gomez, Uncle Fester, Wednesday and Pugsley. With spell-binding music, powerful dance numbers and witty jokes intertwined with incredibly catchy songs such as Pulled, Crazier Than You and One Normal Night, it is sure to be a ghoulishly hilarious treat for all ages.

Clyst Vale has gained a reputation for putting on high-quality, challenging musicals. In 2012 they created a moving production of Les Miserables and in 2013 they hit the Barnfield with their stunning production of Sweeney Todd. Now they cannot wait to get back to the Barnfield with their all-new production.

You will have a truly fun night and don’t forget to bring all the family!’ Miss Ruscoe shares the enthusiasm for the talented cast and the hilarity of the show. ‘It’s been a privilege to direct such a great production as rehearsals have been a real giggle. I can’t wait for the audiences to share in ‘The Addams Family’ magic.’

The Addams Family runs from 18th – 22nd March at 7pm with a Saturday matinee at 2pm at The Barnfield Theatre, Exeter. Ticket prices: £10 adults, £8 children.
