Boys’ Rugby Fixtures @ Blundell’s
Congratulations to the respective Year 7, 8 and 10 boys’ rugby squads, who acquitted themselves superbly at Blundell’s School last Wednesday. The annual fixture provides a chance for Clyst Vale students to play at excellent facilities and experience a great atmosphere and hospitality.
The Year 7s played in a triangular set of matches versus Blundell’s and Uffculme school, losing the first and winning the second respectively.
The Year 8s had a slightly tougher afternoon, coming off comfortably second best but nonetheless enjoying the experience, with Captain Dom Boots-Hutchings never letting his head drop.
The Year 10s were once again outstanding ambassadors for the College both on and off the field with a comfortable 65-20 victory, earning several comments about their superb attitude from Blundell’s staff. They even came across to support the Year 7s in the wind and rain once their game had finished.
Thanks must go to Mr Everett and Y12 student Harry Price for accompanying Mr Pearce on the trip. A very enjoyable and rewarding trip was had by all.
