Y10 Eden Project Trip
On Thursday 5th October Year 10 Art and Photography students visited the Eden Project. Students enjoyed a day of exploring the theme of natural form through taking photographs and producing creative artwork. Students made the most of the day by absorbing the wide variety of natural form on display, exploring both of the captivating biomes and also the outside landscape.
The trip provided a productive and inspirational day for students. Students challenged themselves and developed their artistic skills by using a variety of artistic processes and a diverse range of compositional rules when taking photographs. Students also had the opportunity of experiencing the unique architecture and array of artwork exhibited, which provided further inspiration and subject matter for the students’ natural form projects.
Statement from student Toni Baynes about the day:
“We visited the Eden Project for a GCSE Art and Photography trip. We looked around each biome taking photos and sketching plants to use in our work. I learnt about how to sketch real-life objects and how to manage my time in each area of the Eden Project. My favourite part of the day was looking around each biome and seeing the different plants and wildlife.”
