Living on a Budget – University of Exeter Outreach Session for Post 16
On 8th February, Pete Offord of University of Exeter’s School and College Liaison team came to speak to our Year 13 students about the practicalities of living on a budget. The session is aimed primarily at those students leaving home and heading to university, but in the current economic climate, the content is relevant to students considering any future route.
Pete was accompanied by a member of the student ambassador team, Jemima Parasram, who is an International Relations undergraduate and able to speak from first-hand experience about how she manages student life on a tight budget.
Finance is one of the focus areas of the Post 16 Tutorial programme, to ensure students leave us with a range of ‘financial survival skills’.
A big thank you to Pete and Jemima for providing this opportunity and sharing insight, knowledge and tips for how to make the most of your money!
