Mental Health Support for Parents
Successful Parents Workshop
We welcomed parents to meet a representative from Parental Minds on Thursday of last week. It was great to be able to offer support to parents whose children may be struggling with mental health issues. The discussions were open and supportive and parents were keen to engage in the array of face to face and virtual workshops, and hub meetings. They also offer a whattsapp and telephone support service.
Parental minds are ‘there to stand beside parents and hold their hand through difficult times.’
One of our parents who attended the workshop said:
‘It was amazing to find out all of the support that Parent Minds offers and how easy it is to access. To be able to meet, in a safe space, and share with other parents/careers is so invaluable. It was also really reassuring to hear that the people working at Parent Minds all have lived experience of child mental health issues’.
Please take look at the attached timetable for support sessions running through March. We will continue to signpost their sessions in the newsletter and through our social media channels. We intend to offer another workshop for parents next term.
