Signs of Spring in the Harry Patch Garden
A great deal of work has been put into the Harry Patch Garden over the past few weeks. Students in year 12 have contributed to the work, Phoebe and Alice have been especially helpful.
We now have help from a few local people every Wednesday afternoon from 3.30 -4.30. Jill Murdoch has been fantastic. She has no connection to Clyst Vale but now lives in Broadclyst and has given up her time on a regular basis. Reuban in year 11 has tackled the brambles, which love our sandy soil, with enthusiasm and has even persuaded his Grandparents to help us with the gardening.
All of this help is greatly appreciated and the garden is now looking much neater and has some wonderful colour. A real harbinger of better days ahead!
